When an implant is suitable
Implant treatment depends on an individual clinical assessment. It is generally considered:
- When the jawbone is healthy and fully grown.
- When there is no gum disease present, or it has been appropriately treated, monitored and controlled so that it is stable.
- When there are no conditions present that affect bone healing.

The procedure
This specialist procedure is performed using magnifying loupes or microscopy with additional surgical lights. Miniaturised surgical dental instruments are also used.
Placement. The implant fixture is placed into the jaw and left to integrate with the surrounding bone.
Crown. Once the implant has integrated, a crown is attached to it and matched to your natural teeth.
Any surgical or invasive procedure carries risks. Individual results vary and suitability depends on an individual clinical assessment. Before proceeding with a surgical or invasive procedure, you should seek a second opinion from an appropriately qualified health practitioner.
